How scoring works / how long it takes
How is my Writing and Speaking scored?
Your Writing and Speaking submissions are graded by AI aligned to the Cambridge IELTS band descriptors. You get an overall band plus criterion-level feedback (Task Achievement, Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammar for Writing; Fluency, Lexical Resource, Grammar, Pronunciation for Speaking).
Listening and Reading are graded automatically from the answer key and converted to a band score using the standard raw-score conversion table.
How long does it take to get my Writing or Speaking result?
Results are normally ready within a few minutes of submitting. Speaking takes a little longer than Writing because your audio has to be transcribed first.
If your result still is not showing after that, it usually means one of these:
- The attempt was not submitted — reopen the test and check it is marked as completed.
- Grading is still queued during a busy period. The result page refreshes on its own.
- Grading failed and is being retried automatically (up to two retries).
If it has been much longer than expected, post in Q&A and we will look up your attempt directly.
Where do I find my results and feedback?
Go to **My page → Results**, or open the test you took and choose *View result*.
Each completed attempt shows the overall band, a section breakdown, and — for Writing and Speaking — the AI feedback with annotations on your own answer.
Can I see the audio script for the Listening test?
Yes. Open the result page for your attempt and choose *Solution*. Each Listening item shows the relevant part of the transcript together with the correct answer, so you can see exactly where the answer came from.
Something went wrong during a test
My microphone is not recording during the Speaking test
Work through these in order:
1. Check the browser has microphone permission for this site — look for the microphone icon in the address bar.
2. Close other apps that may hold the microphone (video calls, voice recorders).
3. Use Chrome, Edge or Safari on a recent version. Some in-app browsers block recording entirely.
4. Run the microphone check on the Speaking intro screen before starting.
If recording still fails, post in Q&A. We already collect your browser, OS and device automatically, so just tell us which test and part it happened on.
The questions are not showing on my screen
This is usually a loading problem rather than missing content:
1. Refresh the page — your answers so far are saved automatically.
2. Turn off ad blockers and content blockers for this site.
3. Try a different browser or a larger screen; some question types need more width.
If a specific part is genuinely blank, post in Q&A with the test name and item numbers and a screenshot. That is enough for us to reproduce it.
I cannot submit my test / it says something went wrong
Your answers are saved as you go, so a failed submit does not normally lose your work.
1. Check your connection and press submit again.
2. If you were signed out mid-test, sign back in and reopen the test — it resumes where you left off.
3. Avoid closing the tab while the submit is in progress.
If submit keeps failing, post in Q&A with the test name. Do not start the test again from scratch — we can usually recover the attempt.
A question or answer key looks wrong
I think an answer key is wrong. How do I report it?
Please do report it — corrections from users are how the question bank improves.
Post in Q&A with the test name, the part, the item number, and why you think the key is wrong (for example an alternative answer that should also be accepted). Our content team checks each report and, when the key is wrong, updates it and adds the accepted alternatives.
I cannot sign in
How do I reset my password?
Use the *Forgot password?* link on the sign-in page and follow the email we send you.
If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder first. If you are not sure which address you signed up with, post in Q&A with any address you might have used and we will check.
Why do I need to verify my email?
Email verification protects your account and is required before you can purchase. After signing up you get a verification link that stays valid for 48 hours.
If it expired, sign in and use the *Resend verification email* button on the notice page.
Account deletion / privacy
How can I delete my account?
Post a deletion request in Q&A from the account you want removed, or email us from its registered address. We confirm the request with you before deleting, because deletion also removes your test attempts and results and cannot be undone.
What we keep afterwards, and for how long, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Request more tests or a new feature
Will you add more practice tests?
Yes — new tests are added to the question bank regularly, and we log every request for specific skills or question types.
If there is a particular part or question type you want more of, say so in Q&A. Requests with a clear target are the ones that get built first.
